The Felix Project

Felix Slamovics was diagnosed with ALS about two years ago. He may have four to 20 months left to live. Felix thought that a grand purposeful adventure was something he should do. He was one of the best climbers in Israel and had never climbed The Best Route in the World*, - The Nose route on El Capitan. Felix lovin it!
Felix smiling through the adventure.
Felix started work on organizing a team around him in Israel and creating contacts in the US to work on not only helping Felix and his team climb The Nose route, but raising money and awareness for ALS.

After countless days of work in Israel, Jordan, and in travel to the US, along with four days of threatening weather and arduos climbing the team made it to Dolt  Tower, some 1100 ft /340 meters off the ground. - This is a significant ledge on the Nose route where many parties turn back from and many parties never get to. The pictures on this page are from the grand adventure.  enjoy...
